Welcome to Class! Please take a few moments to tell me about yourself by filling out the form above (big blue button above).
Once you have submitted your response, you will be sent a receipt with your answers via email. Please make sure you keep this receipt as you will be adding this to your Engineering Portfolio. It's possible you might need to check your spam folder.
While everyone is filling out the DAY 1 form, I will be walking around to make sure everyone is able to access the course with their Chromebooks. . We will need to work together. Instructions will be rotated with both in-person and direct instruction via the computer. Please ask if you have questions. You might consider asking the person next to you if you have a question or you can always use the JUST ASK BUTTON. Teamwork is the norm in this classroom. This semester you and I are embarking on a journey to learn about engineering, robotics, and creative ways to solve problems. I look forward to all of your amazing ideas and creations. When solving problems there is usually more than once correct answer... you might have to look outside the box for it. Use your resources. Use your tools. Use your noggin, you know a lot more that you think! The thing I LOVE MOST about engineering is that the sky is the limit, you can create limitless solutions to solve a problem. To love engineering is to love creativity!!
When you complete your survey please visit my- Engineering Exploratorium. Start exploring these cool websites and feel free to let me know of any cool/amazing/wonderful websites that you know about that we could add to this resource.

"...for those who work in science or technology or who are going to take a job in a field related to or highly infused with STEM, I did some interesting calculations for my research. Based on the rate at which knowledge is increasing and the rate at which knowledge is decaying, I calculated that about 15 percent of what we know today is likely to be relevant in five years.
Okay, and that is not the number fifty—that is the number fifteen, as in between 10 and 20 percent. And here is the kicker: we don’t even know which 15 percent this is..."
